I was lucky at a design school in 2002 to have a “history” class with a UC Berkeley professor who was teaching between two schools. It started with modern history of the west, the enlightenment, religious and secular divisions, differing philosophical views, leading up to the modern rise in exceptionalism and atheistic technocratic thinking (reductive materialism) which has all facilitated the desire for humans to play God via genetic manipulation. The class was designed to instill awareness and caution about where we were headed. By far the most important class I’ve ever had as a product designer.

Where we are as a society isn’t an accident. It’s also no accident they make “playing God” seem necessary, harmless and logical. But we all know, EVERY tool can become a weapon when in the hands of intelligent yet morally deprived selfish psychopathic humans. And here we are... exactly where he predicted. I wish I remembered the name of the one teacher who made the most difference in my life.

do you have a website with you design work perchance?

The Cultured Insubordinate's avatar

I do, but I have chosen to not share for reasons which relate to my site URL containing my full name as well as my line of work being “divisive”enough that it distracts from my shared concerns about the “controllers” vs sovereign human existence; not too dissimilar from the authors of “Turtles All the Way Down” remaining anonymous to prevent character attacks rather than just looking at the data or topic as presented.

Was it perhaps Professor Stephen Hayward?

All I remember was his first name: Forest.

Older guy, gray hair, very eccentric and I believe “old school gay”. Immensely intelligent man and very patient with “progressive” students trying to argue with him, Lol.

Professor Hayward blogs regularly on Powerline.com. I bet he would know of whom you speak if you dropped a comment on one of his articles.

At this moment, I'm in the middle of reading Doudna's book! It's a slog (I'm not a scientist) but I understand the Big Picture. I'm only reading it because my granddaughter who was a freshman at Allegheny College last year was assigned Doudna's book in her genetics class. I became suspicious that Allegheny was Woke and more when she was required to put her "preferred pronouns" on her dormitory door. All my fears about Allegheny and its agenda have been realized. Great Substack, by the way.

These rich psychopaths have nothing to do in their lives but sit around, fook around and play God. I censored myself to protect the innocent.

Someone on another stack (sorry I don't remember who so I can't give credit) suggested the term *philanthropath*. I thought it was a good idea so I've been encouraging people to use it.

LOL. I have been learning about this for almost two years as part of personal investing. I then learned about the evil aspects of what people were openly saying on web sites and videos and a friend of mine says “anyone can put whatever they want on a video”. At that time I told them I hoped this technology could create brain cells in people where they are lacking. We are pretty much just acquaintances now.

Why do I believe that this remarkable evolutionary change in human design will be rolled out with the infamous “mark of the beast”? You combine the digital money pass with this technology! “ And no one might buy or sell unless they take the mark”…….

100%... That was also Gate’s father’s work via “Planned Parenthood”.

Pretty hard to do sometimes.

What's really bizarre about this is the damage childhood vaccines have and are causing on a life long basis; serious illnesses and disorders; the human being would manage just fine without those jabs; absoloutely; why give them to kill parasites that don't even exist in the child or never many for decades if ever; NOT viruses; Parasites. Funny how they're never referred to because those are what they use; mastitis is long covid or long term exhaustion illness; there's so much damage they cuause and now they come along with something that's suppose to stop cystic fibrosis when they were the cause in the first instance?? Yeah

Exactly... a lot of Science™ is what created these issues in the first place. They create the problems to solve them to rake in cash and “control populations”. Polio is another great example where they constantly claim Science™ is what “cured” or eradicated polio even though it’s been shown that vaccine strain polio is the major persisting variety out in the wild today (see Turtles All the Way Down)

On another note... I was raised on natural, organic, homegrown garden food for most of my childhood and only had a few vaccines as an infant. Is it odd that at 47, I am healthiest I have ever been? Mountain Bike regularly (and have some course records including all age groups), snowboard, hike, paddle board, etc. I very rarely get sick if ever. I got CV from a jabbed person... was sick a few days, took Ivermectin and suggested iMask protocol vitamins. Back to 100% in two weeks, but only missed 1 afternoon of work (cough extended healing time required). I’m on ZERO pharmaceuticals regularly and only go to doctor when I hurt myself going off jumps or other dumb self-inflicted sports injuries. I am the healthiest person I know. Zero Big Pharma Science™ necessary for most things if you watch what goes into your body (food/jabs).

When the first crispr was presented, a female researcher was interviewed. The reporter asked her if this was not intervening with nature. She responded, this is where nature will evoluate, but we do it faster. It hit me that what she said meant, I know it better than God and I do it better, and I knew it would fail and be a disaster no matter what scientists say.

Obvious recommendation, but ‘GATTACA’ and ‘In Time’ are two great relevant films from Andrew Niccol (who also wrote ‘Truman Show’ and directed ‘Lord of War’).

I doubt if the technology will be used for good. More like breeding humans with reduced intelligence for specific slave roles. These people have clearly demonstrated evil intent.

I'm surprised that this article didn't mention Gates' most frightening foray into gene editing - he partnered with a company named Intellia to develop INJECTABLE CRISPR for humans! Coming soon to a vaccine near you!
