As a matter of note… I am 58yo female with multi-nodular Hashimoto’s. I have spent the last year cleaning up my diet (no sugar, alcohol, white flour, or other processed foods) in an effort to heal my gut biome. I also take a thyroid multivitamin (A, C, D, Zinc & Selenium) and eat plenty of cultured foods, which I make myself. I’ve been on Levothyroxin for the last ten years, but goiter and nodules were still growing and TSH was still increasing. I started taking IVM last October (12mg twice/wk) goiter decreased in size, but TSH continued to increase. Decided to try fenben (222mg 3 days/wk). After 6 doses, checked TSH and it had dropped to the lowest number I’ve ever recorded in 10 years! In Feb it was 4.08…last Wednesday it was 1.667. I will continue to monitor and keep you posted.

Each pharmaceutical manufacturer seems to have a small collection of niche medicines that are generic qualified yet no one (magically) is competing in the market to make them. Medicare sent out a bulletin a while back with a list of thousands of these drugs begging for someone to offer them in a generic form. Not sure how effective the request was….
