New York is hitting Amish families with more than $118,000 in fines over vaccine requirements, and a federal appeals court just sided with the state again. 💉
These are Amish families living in their own communities, following religious beliefs and traditions they’ve practiced for generations. They’re not asking the government for anything. They just want to be left alone.
What makes this even crazier is that the 2019 measles outbreak that helped push New York to eliminate its religious exemption wasn’t even connected to these Amish communities.
Now these families are facing six-figure fines for refusing to go against their religious beliefs.

The threat has been sparked by a vaccine mandate fight that the 25,000 strong religious community is taking all the way to the Supreme Court.
It takes place as state Health Department officials continue to slap thousands in fines on tiny, one-room parochial Amish schools which have refused to comply with a Cuomo-era vaccine decree.

I live in the chicago suburbs and my in laws own a vacation house in Indiana that is maybe 45 minutes from a huge Amish community, some even vacation at the same campground we stay at. I have nothing but respect for the Amish, they live their ideals and don't try to convert anyone to their way of thinking plus they refuse to play the technology game so their brains haven't been completely destroyed by dopamine. If any group can stand strong against tyranny it will be the Amish, think this time in history is their time to fight back. Also, their restaurants have some of the best food you'll ever taste, I detest buffets but absolutely love Amish buffets.
