Dear Residents:
As you may know, Governor Hochul recently lifted many New York State’s COVID-19 restrictions and last Friday, the CDC revamped their indoor mask guidance. The new CDC guidance uses current data in individual counties to determine the need for indoor masks. Per the new guidelines, “People may choose to mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. “
New York City is currently displaying a low community level per CDC guidelines. Therefore, effective immediately, we will implement the following changes to our Covid-19 policy:
Residents and their guests will not be required to wear face coverings in most common areas of the building. We ask everyone to practice appropriate social distancing and we recommend wearing face coverings when you cannot socially distance, you feel it is necessary or if you are experiencing COVID symptoms or test positive.
Everyone must wear appropriate face coverings when using the elevator, unless traveling as a family group. Please try to limit elevator occupancy to maintain social distancing.
Our staff and contractors, even though they are fully vaccinated, will continue to wear face coverings while on the job if they cannot socially distance. Staff will also wear masks when working inside an occupied apartment.
The gym and amenity facilities will remain open without restrictions. Social distancing is required.
All delivery/service persons must wear appropriate face coverings while in the property.
Please remember that these rules may be changed from time-to-time depending on guidance received by governmental agencies. We will continue to monitor current governmental guidelines so we can provide the safest environment for our residents. We thank you for your cooperation as we return to more normalized operations.
The workers are the 2nd class slave citizens. The elevator idiocy is not backed by actual science whatsoever, not like any of it ever was, but tenants must always have the mask on the ready unless taking the stairs.

I wish these guidelines were satire, but sadly they are not. So what that various government entities are relaxing/lifting mandates. Private actors will continue this nonsense ad infinitum. And please remember, the Federal emergency order is still in effect. NY still has its emergency order. Until all emergency orders are rescinded, we are at their mercy.
