To change the narrative, there is a need to retire the term fossil fuel. Earth seems to be sustaining sources of gas and oil. Fossil fuel replacement ideas?

There is no such thing as "fossil" fuel. It is abiotic fuel. The terms and words are important to understand, or they will keep tricking everyone.

And there is your replacement word.

Not "fossil fuel." Abiotic fuel.

Let's start using abiotic and see if it catches on. I'll keep looking for a word or phrase as compelling as old dinosaurs 🦕 use to be the icon for Sinclair Oil.

Abiotic. Hmmmm - from life. It may be a useful term, but for the conversation we need a sound bite instead. Or It could be replaced with tried and true "natural resources."...No..too dull. Keep thinking because "fossil fuel" should be made passé.
