I’m in central TX and the flu has been severe the last few weeks. Many people have been very sick and some in their 40s/50s hospitalized. My husband has seen this at work too. From the people we know about almost all are vaccinated to some extent even if they just got the original two over a year ago. They say it isn’t Covid, and blame flu, allergies, RSV etc.
I’m in between Austin and San Antonio, both areas have had a lot of issues with illness the last month or so. Austin reported high flu before Thanksgiving. Mostly with vaccinated although I know someone that lives with someone vaccinated that also got sick. Our experience is a majority of people regardless of political affiliation ran out and got this even here in TX. My husband is one of the few not vaccinated in a large company here. Fortunately it never became an issue.
