Coming from an automotive parts manufacturing background it all makes perfect sense.
Remove, disable or replace a few key components and the car will start running poorly until it doesn’t run at all.
Seems to me that is exactly what they are doing to the human “machine”. It’s not because they are inexperienced technicians. No, it’s because they are highly skilled technicians who know exactly how to slowly take us apart, so over time we don’t realize how poorly we are running until it is to late and we don’t run at all.
