I wonder if dogs and cats fed their appropriate high quality raw food diets could survive parvo, distemper and other so-called vaccine-preventable illnesses that are considered to be usually fatal, without having to take the risk of the vaccines. My old tabby cat, vaccinated only once (for rabies) as required by our provincial law, was fed raw and given filtered water. By age 17 he was starting to go deaf and blind but his teeth and gums were healthy, his breath was not horrible, he could still jump up on my lap with ease, and his coat was still luxurious. He was exposed to distemper from sick adolescent raccoons that frequent my yard, and shortly after developed the unmistakable fulminant signs of distemper. Internet says it is prolonged, untreatable and fatal, hence the need for vaccination and boosters, or prompt isolation and euthanasia of unvaccinated animals. But all the research is based on pets eating commercial kibble or canned food. I could not take him to a vet because of the contagion risk, but I decided to try homeopathic medicines. They worked within hours. He was over his bout of 'fatal' distemper in three days and lived another full year, to 18.

Hepar sulf 30 ch, Boiron, 5 pellets in his water dish, replaced twice a day. I also gave him Arnica montana 30 for discomfort as he was recovering. I really thought he was a goner. The internet info was so dire. I wish I had known about homeopathy and raw diet with my other cats years ago. I fed commercial kibble and faithfully got them vaccinated for everything recommended, annual worming injections, flea collars, fluoridated tap water etc. and none lived more than nine years. Every one developed kidney failure.

My old 3-legged, blind boy lived to be 17. I fed him veggies and mashed meat until his big old heart finally gave out while swimming-his favorite thing besides his family.

Below is a source from a natural veterinarian who has complete information and on line classes on how to properly feed and take care of your animals without vaccines and pharmaceuticals.

I have used his suggestions to care for my animals and I highly recommend this resource !!!

Hopefully he can help you too.

Another excellent article. Ultraprocessed pet food is built on the same industrial agricultural model as the ultra-processed Standard American Diet.

Yes, pets are massively over-vaccinated and so many are getting sick, itching/digestive issues, cancer (tumors) as a result. Every dog I've known, ended up with cancer. I firmly believe it's from the vaccines as well as consuming ultra-processed dry kibble diet.

I have two female beagles ages 5 years and 2 1/2 years, purchased from same breeder. The oldest got her first rabies shot as a puppy and had a reaction, where her hind legs went weak for few days. Thankfully she's fine. Only got 2nd distemper/parvo shot and haven't followed up since, only get yearly titers for Lyme's, heartworm (does not take Heartguard as they don't work, but a holistic herbal liquid that has been effective and heartworm negative since). The younger pup I refused to get her rabies, distemper and parvo shots. I instead gave her distemper and parvo nosodes to take. I did not register my pups to get licensed.

Since my pups were first brought home at 7 weeks old, I put them on organic grass-fed raw meat diet, wild sardines/salmon, berries, broccoli, green beans, bone broth, pasture raised eggs from our chickens, powdered supplements including vitamins/minerals/mushrooms. Wanted to get them off to a good start and they're both doing well, are lean, full of energy & happy loving pups. This is how they should be.
