The protocol that Dr Makis suggested was:

24 mg of Ivermectin per day for 2 weeks

222 mg of Fenbendazole per day for 2 weeks.

If still seeing symptoms, do another regiment of:

36 mg of Ivermectin per day for 2 weeks

444 mg of Fenbendazole per day for 2 weeks.

I did 24 mg of Ivermectin and 300 mg of Fenbendazole per day for 2 weeks. I adjusted the Fenbendazole because of the mg in the tablet. It was just easier.

AND I ONLY DID IT FOR 2 WEEKS. I did NOT need the 2nd regiment of the higher dosage.

Thanks so much for your details about dosage. Was this amount of IV and Fen hard to take? Side effects? The 2nd Smartest Guy suggests this is a pretty big dosage. I'm a woman weighing about 125 pounds. Are you in the range?

No. I didn't have ANY side effects. Besides sleeping better and feeling better. Honestly. I'm about 75 lbs heavier than you. However, a friend of mine is 90 lbs soaking wet and took the same doseage. No side effects. And cured her alpha gal.

I live in a Red State, and I know about the Lone Star tick because it also causes Bobcat Fever in cats, which usually kills them. My next-door neighbors lost one of their cats to it right after they moved in. When they told us about it, we checked our two cats and both of them had a Lone Star tick! The ticks do have to feed for a few days before the cat gets sick, so we got them off in time. After that, I read that monolaurin was used for Bobcat Fever, so we kept some just in case, and sure enough, one of our cats stopped eating and was lethargic, so we gave her a solution of monolaurin and water in a syringe several times, and two days later, she was fine. Now though, I have ivermectin that I ordered from this Substack, in case it happens again. That should work even better.

Nina Teicholz's X account on July 27 posted a link to an article in bioethics: Beneficial Bloodsucking

First published: 22 July 2025 https://doi.org/10.1111/bioe.70015

Give the Absract a look.[$62 to buy the article.] The authors argue that alpha-gal syndrome (AGS) is a good thing:

"After explaining the symptoms of AGS and how they are transmitted via ticks, we argue that tickborne AGS is a moral bioenhancer if and when it motivates people to stop eating meat. We then defend what we call the Convergence Argument: If x-ing prevents the world from becoming a significantly worse place, doesn't violate anyone's rights, and promotes virtuous action or character, then x-ing is strongly pro tanto obligatory; promoting tickborne AGS satisfies each of these conditions."

Remarkable, huh?

I just hope I never get it. I am allergic to Doxycycline and a whole bunch of of other mold derived antibiotics despite the fact that I have not had very many courses of any one antibiotic or even all together in my life. ... @crazygoatlady, if I do, I will try the Makis protocol as I already have plenty of both of those anti-parasitics in my stash. Too bad they cost as much as they do. They shouldn't be as expensive as even offered here, because they cost pennies to make. Oh well, I take advantage of the sales on this site when I can.

WRT the Joe Tippen Protocol: do you think it would be effective against brain fog? For how long should one continue the protocol?

Start with 2 weeks.

No change? Got 2 more. Etc. That was my plan.

I didn’t not understand this patient’s protocol. She said “I did 2 weeks IV and Fend” and I’m not sure what this means. Could you clarify??

IV = Ivermectine

Fen.= Fenbendazole

Thank you. I assumed IV was an IV of some sort.

Glad to see crucial ingredient in protocol…

…as I remember, almost out-of-the-blue, Zinthromax was curing Lymes

Hmmm…

…but they scientifically never found that the “crucial” component was Uncle Doxycycline

I have now included Dr. Makis' protocol for Lyme disease and STARI in the antibiotic section of the article under 'possible treatments in the works': https://madisonarealymesupportgroup.com/2016/02/13/lyme-disease-treatment/, as well as its possible mode of action (killing the worms to expose borrelia to the doxycycline). So thankful people are sharing their experiences.
