We do not live in the America I grew up in. We are living in a communist country now and if people do not wake up and do the right thing when it comes to our elections, our country will continue down this path. I am 71 yrs old. I remember what life was like when I was young. The news was much more truthful. We did not have all these illegal immigrants running around costing us our lungs, taking our jobs, killing us, raping us, stealing our children, selling drugs, human trafficking and more. This is very sad to me that I will leave this earth in the condition that it is now. God please help us to turn this around, not so much for me, but for our children.
Those that stick around the western world / Five Eyes will continue to be subject to this at every turn for years to come. It's why I have a base in the developing world, where this tech / infrastructure isn't available, or will take years to implement, if they can at all.

My husband (I was not in country at that time) had to throw out a lot of $$$ food. Last autumn (2022), attuned to what-might-be-nonsense-but-I-cannot-predict-so-I'll-prepare thoughts, I canned about 100 lb of beef, chicken, pork. Home canned foods do not require tools to open (I can lift the Ball lid with fingernails, usually). It is true that any cooking will send cooking-smells outside of the house, so in a bad situation that would need to be considered.
