I remember in high school in the 1980s when people would yammer about the chance of land invasion, I'd picture rednecks in urban assault vehicles and 4wd trucks cruising the woods and back roads being defensive and offensive.
It'd be much the same these days, except in the cities. I lack the city experience to picture effective guerilla activities in that setting
