My 5 year old granddaughter named my 10 week old Akbash, Agent Mulder. A year later, we got a one year old half Lab/ half Germ Shep and named him John Byers. Both are now 4 years old, intact males on the farm. We are having great difficulty finding an intact female Akbash, a Scully, as we want to have a litter of Akbash pups - many of our neighbors have senior Livestock Guardian Dogs and need a more energetic young LGD to protect their herds, flocks, chickens, ducks, geese, etc. The dogs rarely accompany us into the city but when we take them and someone asks their names, we answer, “This one is Mulder and this one is John Byers”. Every time the inquirer smiles big and sometimes even questions, “The Lone Gunmen?” (regarding Byers). LOL
