US supplied missiles guided by US operated guidance systems sounds exactly like a US attack. The US may have got away with it if their guided missile hadn't gone stray, exploded overhead and killing and injured civilians. But it did go stray and the US gets caught redhanded. Mind you, the US and the US backed IDF militia have already set the precedent that it is ok to kill civilians during warfare, so the US will have no conscience about this incident anyway. This just leaves the door wide open for more civilian carnage.
