Interesting that you mention tonic waters. I learned that they included quinine as an ingredient several years ago, and began drinking them instead of carbonated beverages. The only drawback is that they usually contain high fructose corn syrup, but I can accept the tradeoff.
I used to drink Schweppes tonic water until I read the label and saw high fructose corn syrup. Better to drink other brands such as Fever Tree which don’t contain that crap.

She boosted our health from Covid in 2021 with natural products and at home IVs. Two ozone machines to clear the air. Our own Dr who did go to the hospital and died. They put him on a ventilator. No hope.

The HCQ is pretty safe IF used early and in LOW dosage. It has been used daily for >50 years in Africa and many other countries. Many foreign doctors have experience with it. It is even safe for pregnant women (according to these doctors).
The problem is that the FDA deliberately overdosed many weak people when they were ill. They targeted people that were close to death from pneumonia and "flu". And in another trial they used 2x the maximum dose. The FDA directly murdered people to keep the HCQ from the market. And this is where many death numbers from HCQ are based upon.
Ivermectin is a lot saver, and Big Pharma tried everything, but were not able to kill people with it. Any drug and also drinks and food can have bad side-effects if used in too large quantities.
To treat against covid you need to be early. First use an anti-viral drug or (zinc) and use the HCQ as an amplifier. By itself it does not do much. It should have positive effects within a day.
