Recall that the Wuhan virology dept published a paper on developing monkeypox pcr tests just recently. All the samples sent to CDC will be tested with with pcr. I wonder if you sent a shingles sample to cdc if it would test positive for monkeypox.

You mean like a sample of flu would test positive by pcr for covid? You betcha.
