Let me expand Further, John, in our agreement on honor. Our school’s code is “DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY”, imbedded on every ring upon graduation. Further, we swore “ ... suffer not our hatred of hypocrisy and pretense ever to diminish. ... never to be content with a half truth when the whole truth can be won. ... scorns to compromise with vice and injustice and knows no fear when truth and right are in jeopardy ...” That’s as far away from our typical politicians, including some over-praised, living and dead, high ranking retired military politicians, as is possible. Honor does not mean a damned thing to far too many.
It is political, but in past you would see men a, sometimes, care more about honor and country than a political party. Not anymore
