I was prescribed Zoloft in 2004 from a doctor that said I had anxiety and it immediately made me feel like a complete brain dead zombie. I got off it without talking to the dr and never went back to her again. I later learned my Dad had a similar experience. Meanwhile I know people that have been on these drugs for years, including my brother, and their behavior is completely off the wall. They have emotional issues, tend to be completely irrational and they can’t get along with others.

They’ve lied about causation in many illnesses to promote unsafe drugs you have to take for the remainder of your life. And the recommendations to take the drugs, like statins, have been changing to earlier ages. But many people don’t want to take responsibility for anything in their life and popping pills vs changing your lifestyle is going to keep this fraud going strong. And sadly all this pharma crap is washing back into our drinking water, food, etc so it is hard to avoid it all.

In my personal experience, genuine depression is real but rare. The fashionable anti depressants are a disaster. Especially for young people who need to be adapting to adulthood instead of drugging into it.

Diet, gut health, and detox herbs are key in this environment.

Btw the only thing that ever brought me to a non-drugged normal feeling was an MAOI developed by a lone MD in Hungary 60 years ago, a drug that had the fda saying that they will never again allow a drug be submitted for approval by anyone other than big pharma. Deprenyl. Doesn’t blunt emotions, fends off cognitive decline. I’m surprised they haven’t taken it off the market.
