Witnessed the same as my mother passed last year. Married 71 years. As young parents, they each made an eternal decision to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. To her last words, she told us that her faith is in GOD. Dad sat by her and read from the Bible.
it is a beautiful sentiment. but what is most important in this life, urgent really, is real-eyes-ing that Someone created you, and loves you with a love that is always beneficial and never selfish (unlike human love even at its best), and wants an eternal relationship with you. that One is not a human, obviously, but is the One who was when the world was created and came to His own (The Js), but they did not know Him (see John 1:1-13): the One we know as Jesus Christ, the Redeemer. the only Way to eternal life with the Loving Creator is to seek Him as you seek after hidden treasure. You must choose to turn toward Him. You must ASK to be reborn by His spirit. You must lay down your earthly life (such as it is) to find Real Life. This will not change your personality (who you are), but it will change the mainspring of your heart/mind/will. . which will change everything (how you think and live, beneficially!) and you will find peace and comfort that nothing in this world can provide. . not even the most perfect love relationship that you can imagine. May you be blessed with the understanding you need in these perilous times.
I told my partner that if I ever fell sick to NEVER call an ambulance, because I NEVER want to be in a hospital again. They said they would ignore my request, because 'what if'. They are injected and do not understand the gravity of the situation, the amount of killing hospitals do. Now ex-partner.
Hah. I just realized how long it’s been since I read something profound that didn’t necessitate twisting my brain into a pretzel. This feels like taking a seat after miles of hiking. Well done and thank you.
