This medical tech, though funded by those that think it will be used for good, is easily corrupted by those that want to do harm. It’s more dangerous than nuclear weapons, mainly because it remains largely unregulated with respect to ethical guidelines governing fields of study. They can ‘study’ anything they want in bioengineering as long as it doesn’t get defined as ‘gain of function’.
