This product seems pretty clean; however, not all allulose products are made from the fruits mentioned in the article. I have a bag that was made from corn. For some people that may not be a big deal, but for me it is. I have severe gluten and all grain intolerance which brings about severe abdominal cramping, bloating, bowel issues, and more.

I say all this to remind you, the consumer, to ALWAYS read the labels. Yes, even on brands you trust.

This product is pharmaceutical grade pure.

Stay away from the Amazon products made from corn and made in China.

This is the highest quality allulose on the marketplace.

Please know my comment wasn't disputing your product but to help people understand not all allulose is created the same.

Some in my family are Celiacs. I found a (cure?) Dr Mercola had some enzymes marked as Gluten Enzymes, and I bought some at least 8 months ago. y ex tried them and took them if he ate gluten. They worked. Then I found a a study that said that if you take enzymes you can eat regular food plus they also remove GMO toxin. He takes them daily now . . He has been on a gluten free diet for about 15years. Occasionally eating some food he misses, like pizzaeating out, etc, They work! He takes them daily. He never felt better in his life and he is almost 77. Another miracle like Ivermectin. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7400306/

They don't say Gluten Enzymes anymore.. Try these? He has other sDr. Mercola® Digestive Enzyme Capsules Supplement, 90 Capsules | Mercola Market.. I mostly buy all of my supplements at Dr Mercola and less at Natural Grocers

since BigPharma or One of those conglomerations that own most of our food from stores, etc,

Denise TY for the comment. I must have something similar to you. Can you elaborate a bit more RE: severe gluten grain issue. I have noticed certain foods Grains may be doing this to me. Example Kroger (Honey Wheat Bread) -almost killed me: abdominal cramping unlike anything & I thought I would end up in ER. I noted a particular CHEMICAL FERTILIZER used in this bread as opposed to others, and I remarked to a friend this bread was as if eating SUGAR SMELL TASTE. How did you discover a Gluten Grain intolerance etc. Mine was first linked maybe thought Chrones IBS Family?? Weird things effect me popcorn Kiwi certain RED SAUCES NO Habanero pepper period. But seeded breads strawberry tomatoes NO ISSUE. RED SAUCES that are used in certain restaurants rather than pizza sauce itself. I make my own salsa & pickles no issues. Onions can kill me on occasion...thoughts are appreciated. TY 👍 I never miss this column.

Look into a Whole30 challenge. It may help you eliminate the offending food as you add them back. It seems daunting at first, but now some products and restaurants boast of items being Whole30 approved.

Start watching Dr. Gundry videos and Dr. Lustig on YouTube. It’s not the gluten, it’s the lectins.

StayCreative's avatar

I roughly follow the Dr. Gundry low lectin food approach and think there's value. I watched an interview with Andrew Huberman and Dr. Lustig where they talked about Glyphosate as a key issue in this too.

C6H12O6 is the molecular formula of glucose/sugar.

"Allulose is inexpensive, safe, and it works better than dangerous drugs like Ozempic." With that subheadline, the 2nd Smartest Guy pinpoints precisely why widespread allulose use will never allowed to happen. BigPharma won't allow its success.

The human body requires NO added sugar. It's that easy, stop eating any added sweeteners. You do NOT need it.

Been using Allulose and Monk Fruit for a month or more. Glad to have another source for Allulose. But I have seen this caution about allulose on other places, start with small amounts till your body gets used to it as it is non absorbable and could cause a few bowel issues at first. But a great way to get the sugar out of your diet.

I haven’t read this stack yet but when it says “pharmaceutical” red flags appear🤷‍♂️.

Since when does the pharmaceutical companies become concerned about your health for the greater good!

Great addition to the offerings.

Now I might be able to enjoy sweet tea again.

Good to know! I’m testing this in my coffee concoction right now. I was afraid it would turn out to be another bad chemical!

Bearr's avatar

Could I use this in my home btrew beer instead of Glucose that I'm currently using? or wont the yeast take to it?

Most all USA corn is GMO so how do we know if it’s free of chemicals

2nd Smartest Guy in the World's avatar

This is 100% non-GMO beet derived, and even if it were corn derived by the time it is purified you are left with only the purified rare sugar and nothing else.

Dr. John's avatar

Looks like Allulose is made from corn, which would be GMO.

2nd Smartest Guy in the World's avatar

Non-GMO beets that are purified.

StayCreative's avatar

Thanks for your new product - will try! I've used Allulose quite a bit starting with RXSugar and now Wholesome brand. I've written both of those companies with a few questions and haven't received a reply. These are the basic questions I have. I am wondering if you can share how the Non-GMO beets are purified just to have that depth of knowledge - is acid used such as citric acid that I'm hearing involves mold (not sure if that is true). Also, when the purification process is done, does it remove Glyphosate? Is the final product tested for Glyphosate to be below a certain level? Glyphosate is a key issue I am finding for leaky gut. I am going to more products on that are on the Detox Project list: https://detoxproject.org/certification/glyphosate-residue-free/certified-products/

2ndS, all the other sugar or sugar alcohols can cause pretty significant GI discomfort. For example, I can't eat much erithrytol without GI discomfort. I realize allulose is not a sugar alcohol, and I love maple syrup. Is there any indication that allulose in standard recipes like homemade ice cream can cause GI issues? Thanks!

2nd Smartest Guy in the World's avatar

In most cases it should not cause any GI issues, but everyone is different and as such responds differently.

SteveBC's avatar

Cool, thanks, 2ndS! I appreciate the news and your reply. :-)

I jumped on the Lakanto bandwagon years ago but noticed a "cooling" aftertaste...and got too lazy to make the switch from came sugar permanent. Addicted to White & Brown Death, and now Maple Syrup aged in bourbon barrels (Costco seasonal offering). Just ordered two bags of this Flav-X--I pray I can dump Big Sugar once & for all!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

That's CANE sugar ... Ugh
