Why are they being foisted on humanity? Simple answer: Economics. It's far easier and far cheaper to have governments pay for them. It only takes convincing one authority to get approval and no advertising is necessary at all and often the government does tremendous advertising anyway and may even include a mandate or regulation supporting the vaccine.
