If you believe that is true then it is true. Whether it was 10% or 33% or 90% of population supportive of Independence there was a part who thought the whole thing folly and hopeless, just as you do now.

Wrong. It does matter what the rough percentages are, and as you should know, that would be a big difference between if it were say 10% or say 90%.

ItтАЩs not a matter of it being тАЬfolly and hopelessтАЬ, it is definitely a matter of understanding the basic aspect of human nature that allows a lot of people to simply accept whatever is going to happen to them. IтАЩm not one of those, but, it is essential that we understand what weтАЩre up against
