Though a lot of Texans will argue with you about it, the best BBQ I ever had in my life was in the South... specifically just outside Mobile, Alabama.
Rendezvous in Memphis, best I ever had. Had it when I ent to Memphis once to go to Graceland, been there done.that. No reason to ever go back.
