So I decided to look up Rafael Nadal who left a tournament with stabbing pains. From Yahoo: "As it turns out, I have a stress crack in one of my ribs and will be out for four to six weeks. This is not good news and I did not expect this. I'm devastated and sad because it comes after a great start to the season."
Nadal explained the injury comes at "a very important part of the season" with the French Open in May."
Really? I grew up in a tennis hotspot. I had two classmates who played in Grand Slam tournaments.
But I never heard of anybody getting a stress rib fracture.
Apparently stress rib fractures happen most often with rowers, which makes sense because they repeat the same movement for extended periods. I've never heard of it with tennis players, especially since they run and change their swing every time the ball comes to them. But then again, I've never seen vax-cult nuttiness like we have nowadays, so...🤔
