Just found out a good friend of mine up in Greenville CA, who had lost her home and the entire town to the Dixie Fire back in 2021, and had just gotten resettled into a new house, a new life...well, she just passed the other day from melanoma. It was quick. Gee, lemme guess. Unfortunately most of my family took them. One nephew was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2022 and was gone by August. Sister with some heart issues (and not young) seem to suddenly have debilitating issues and succumbed to them in about 6 months...

Always got annual flu shots at work (that never stopped her from getting annual flu), and when she became a senior she got the additional recommended ones (shingles, pneumonia, TDaP booster and the extra-strong senior's flu shot), had Covid but got the shots in 2021, got Covid again in 2022, got boosters on schedule, may have taken the bivalent too, and then in late 2022 developed a novel B-cell turbo lymphoma that oncologists couldn't type, with an apparently unusual brain tumor aspect. Undergoing useless radiation treatments and chemo now. How do people NOT make the connection? How do doctors, especially oncologists, ignore what they see with their own eyes, and stay silent?
It's about money. Difficult to convince someone of something when their livelihood depends on them not being convinced.
