We ended up leaving our vet of many years in Tucson after it was acquired by Mars. Suddenly, the number of required vaccines doubled, along with the number of visits required to administer all of them. This on top of much higher charges for the services and time required. Upon questioning staff, I found that there was general agreement that the policy’s and charges required by their new management were equally questioned internally. We took our business elsewhere. I would suggest to anyone using a Mars owned facility, that they do the same for the health of their loved pets (family members). The Mars family member that owns this system obviously has no interest the best interests of animals, but only the maximizing of profits by any means available. Speak with your and your pet’s feet.
The problem for consumers is that the takeovers are NOT advertised. Until, I questioned the staff on our my concerns, I didn’t know about the acquisition. Mars slides in while nobody is looking. Buyer beware.
Their sugar/arsenic filled products are all slow-killing us, too. They have many anti-life weapons at their disposal. Some of them even taste amazing! The sweet taste of diabetes, illness and death, mmm!
And look at the ingredients of all of your pet food. Dog, cat, bird, the overwhelming majority of the products you see on the shelf have sweetener in them. Sugar and molasses are in most of the foods and treats. Even in the supposedly organic, natural ones. They'll say "cane sugar" rather than the high fructose that's in many others. Tell me, what dog/cat/bird needs sugar, would ever develop a taste for sugar in the natural world? Not one. But the manufacturers put it in their food because when animals get a taste of it they also become addicted to it, prefer it, will choose the sugar-sweetened food over the one without sweetener. Why? Why do they do that? Same reason as for humans, to slow-kill them and make them regular customers for veterinarians.
Note: I follow the 'everything in moderation' theory of hazards we face in life. I'll make my negotiation with a sweet-tasting poison from time to time, but strictly within limits.
Growing up we never vaccinated our animals. And they had long healthy lives and never saw the inside of a vet's office. Because they were never sick.
I continue the tradition.
Unfortunately these days if you adopt from a shelter the little ones come with at least the first round of shots. While that is not ideal, it's better than continued yearly assaults.

Banfield is the PetsMart in-house vet. And it is even tied to their grooming services. Years ago I tried to take my dog there to be groomed and they demanded proof of current vaccinations on everything their vet 'recommends' or they wouldn't groom her.
I took my dog to another groomer. And have groomed her myself. F Banfield. F Veterinary Boards. F PetsMart. F them all. Ghouls can go to hell.
My 3 year old rescue changed overnight after having her rabies and distemper vaccines. She became terrified of anything and everything and hid under the bed and has to be coaxed to have meals, where before she’d have a ferocious appetite . She has subsequently developed eczema and I believe she now has VAIDS. Much like all medical personnel who push for the depop shots, all vets who push for these harmful vaccines deserve to lose their license to practice and their livelihood. They’re obviously getting kickbacks from BP!

I wanted to change vets because of my 8 yr. old Siberian got cancer and died and she had seen him a yr.earlier and told me he had an infection in anal gland .She took blood tests of both my dogs and then called saying the other dog had a high white cell count and needed to be retested.We thought cause they were taking antibiotics for anaplasmosis that was the reason.for high white call count.We retested the dog she said and it was normal.About a year later my other dog had 3rd stage cancer.and would not eat anymore with diarrhea and vomiting with losing weight. We ending up putting him down cause there wasn't anything more we could do.He had vaxes up to 2 yrs.Ended up getting lymes from the lymes vax .Ate a homemade diet , no dog food.At that point didn't trust the vets anymore.
Now my other husky who is 9 yrs.old was having problems tried looking for a different vet.Well they ask you all kinds of questions including are they up to date on shots.So of course they got back to me saying they were to busy to take a new client on.So I had to go back to the other one .Had no other choice.She took xrays and suggested he needs to be neutered cause prostrate is enlarged .So went home with that was only option. He has trouble with a bowel movement prostrate is blocking him from going.I did find a tincture for prostrate online and hoping it works .They need more holistic vets these other ones who are pushing the shots need to go back and learn real ways of healing dogs.Also charge so much and only offer an option of neutering him.He's 9 years old.Will they do it without the shots?
After finding out about the mRNA rabies vaccine, I called about the "free" annual vaccine we get in New Jersey. SURPRISE ! Nobody knew what that was. Calling veterinarians, most had no clue either. Found a older one who said he's using the one he's used for many many years that does not use the mRNA like the Covid Vaccine.
We talked and he said he was surprised I called about it, most people just don't care enough about their pets to even ask.

I stopped having my animals vaxxed a long time ago. Two of my cats' health changed after being vaxxed. The vet told me it was birth defects.
