I read years ago that they did an experiment at Gitmo to determine if masking detainees caused them to break down more quickly than those unmasked: yes indeedy it worked! Don’t remember the specifics but the numbers shocked me—20% less time? It was not at the 5% significance level, nope. It made a noticeable difference. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! We just had our first garage sale since before pandemic and yes, some masks outside were alive and well.....the crazy part was the house two-doors down.... the owners were outside setting up from 7am until we closed up shop around 3pm and they were MASKED the whole effin' day....oh, sorry, did I mention that garages sales happen outside????? 😜
