Solution: I could not like or comment on this post at first. When I tried to comment, Substack said it had to re-authenicate my account - I clicked the link, then I could comment.

PS I had similar issue on another writers Substack, so I don't think they are targeting you in particular. More likely it is general bugs in Substack or security concern.

I had that exact thing happen to me yesterday. I don't remember whose stack it was though. --- A couple of hours later I got another note from them that was just a button to click that was good for an hour and one time use. That was the "sign in." It worked. No other problems.....yet.

Maybe there’s just too much free speech & exchange of ideas going on here& elsewhere on this great platform

No worries. Your stack is growing so fast they just can't even. New capacity will be scaled in soon I trust.

I've had issues commenting for awhile, and just now, when I started to write this, I got a pop-up that said for security purposes, they needed to re-authenticate me with an email to sign in again.

I couldn't comment yesterday or most of today. So maybe it's resolved. Must be hitting a chord!!

Don't forget the recent glitch that's sending a lot of substack articles to our spam folders. That drives me nuts weeding through hundreds of spam emails a day to find you, sage, jimy, jessicaR etc. all hiding amongst the shite. 😝

I keep a direct sub stack app link on my main screen of my phone so I don't need to look at emails anymore to find Substack articles. Solved the issue of sub stick going to spam our junk mail.

I had to "subscribe" to like one of your posts, think it was yesterday. I panicked for a moment but as soon as I hit the sub button, it started working again.

I can understand in some, not this that you have to be paid to even comment.

I believe you are not the first one with concerns. I have read others are having issues too.

Same! It dropped all of my subscriptions and I had to go back and resubscribe to dozens of Substacks. Lesson learned. I’m backing up my writers for future disruptions!
