I have a Twitter account I started in the last few years to follow people posting data about the vaccine and almost all those I followed were banned shortly after. Many have been reinstated and since Musk took over it has been pretty obvious the goal is to get everyone to verify their account. It feels a lot like the program to get everyone vaccinated. First he appealed to everyone that wanted a blue check for status (easy pickings), then he started subscription and revenue sharing only available to those verified which is expanding (bribery), then they had the restricted Twitter a few weeks ago where those without verified accounts were restricted (punishment). I’m sure the time will come where access will be restricted only to those that verify their account. Sure seems they want to get everyone verified before the masses figure out once you are verified you can never be unverified. Interestingly Musk has had x.com reserved since 1999.
