I recommend any of several videos by Dr Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, in which he discusses CO2 and life on earth. He points out that we will have an extinction event (we all die) if CO2 levels fall much lower than they are today. In fact, the CO2 emissions due to our burning of carbon based fuels, are good. Molluscs and corals have been fixing carbon in their shells very effectively. Prior to the industrial revolution, CO2 levels were only 30ppm above the extinction level. Go buy a Suburban today to ensure our children's future!

A superb quote from Neil Oliver's latest soliloquy:

“Once the scales fall from a person’s eyes, the resultant clarity of sight is briefly overwhelming. Or, it’s like being handed a skeleton key that unlocks every door or access to a Rosetta stone that translates every word into a language instantly understood.”

This quote here is excellent, too. Is it a 2nd Smartest original? I'd like to know to whom I should attribute it to when I use it:

"If you can’t love yourself, then you really can’t love others, and if you hate yourself, then you will more than likely be prone to hating others too."
