They're eating the wrong foods which are the ultra processed foods for why many are obese/overweight, not exercising, etc., besides the fact many are chronically ill consuming high sugar/bad seed oils, soy foods, processed chemicals, etc., in their foods. There's so much more to say about the health of these people. My hubby and I (he's 74 and I'm 69) are very healthy, exercise daily, don't go to doctors/take RX drugs/vaccines. We grow our own food in 2 greenhouses and raise chickens since 2011. People will have to start learning how to take care of themselves, read about health and nutrition which a lot of it is free on the internet, grow their own food and rely less or not at all on govt assistance. Heck, when my grandparents were young in the late 1890's/early 1900's, 70% of our country were growing their own foods/animals.
Also, everything that has been happening is all planned by the unelected powers that be and right now we're in The Fourth Turning. This book explains the Seasons of History telling us how and when this crisis will end. Excellent read.
I think poor people go for quanity of food rather than quality due to price. If you're a family of four or five, living in an apartment in a city, you can't grow your own food. Your kids may be relying on what they eat at school, and if both parents are working, they come home exhausted and just punt in terms of a meal. Seed oils, high fructose corn syrup, ultra processing and things like hormones are in everything. Personally, I think the biology of certain people make them susceptible to obesity caused by a variety of factors, not just overeating.
Many people aren't deliberately making bad decisions. They are making the only decisions they can afford, and it's hurting their health.

You know this stuff! We are all in need of potassium. For years I was on a blood pressure med for hypertension. Then I came across a video that addressed this very issue. There should be food distribution centers for people who cannot, for whatever reason, pay for their own food. These are not the grocery stores where the paying people shop. They're eating the wrong foods which are the ultra processed foods for why many are obese/overweight, not exercising, etc., besides the fact many are chronically ill consuming high sugar/bad seed oils, soy foods, processed chemicals, etc., in their foods. There's so much more to say about the health of these people. My hubby and I (he's 74 and I'm 69) are very healthy, exercise daily, don't go to doctors/take RX drugs/vaccines. We grow our own food in 2 greenhouses and raise chickens since 2011. People will have to start learning how to take care of themselves, read about health and nutrition which a lot of it is free on the internet, grow their own food and rely less or not at all on govt assistance. Heck, when my grandparents were young in the late 1890's/early 1900's, 70% of our country were growing their own foods/animals.
Also, everything that has been happening is all planned by the unelected powers that be and right now we're in The Fourth Turning. This book explains the Seasons of History telling us how and when this crisis will end. Excellent read.
I think poor people go for quanity of food rather than quality due to price. If you're a family of four or five, living in an apartment in a city, you can't grow your own food. Your kids may be relying on what they eat at school, and if both parents are working, they come home exhausted and just punt in terms of a meal. Seed oils, high fructose corn syrup, ultra processing and things like hormones are in everything. Personally, I think the biology of certain people make them susceptible to obesity caused by a variety of factors, not just overeating.
Many people aren't deliberately making bad decisions. They are making the only decisions they can afford, and it's hurting their health.
Great response shibumi, but I would add that, big ag is the one who supplies the crutch, and it is the democrat&republican PARTY supplying the money to buy the crutch, which is junk they call food.

Second, it is Blue States that primarily fund the government with red States gaining way more than they contribute. You know this stuff! We are all in need of potassium. For years I was on a blood pressure med for hypertension. Then I came across a video that addressed this very issue. I increased my potassium to the RDA and my blood pressure normalized. This was several years ago. No need for meds, actually, no need for doctors. They lost a customer lol.
Most people on SNAP are just too lazy to work and that is a fact. McDonald’s is always hiring. Get a job or 2 if needed. Welfare was always about securing votes for the Democrats. Same day different owner.
There should be food distribution centers for people who cannot, for whatever reason, pay for their own food. These are not the grocery stores where the paying people shop. The selection in the centers should be nutritious and certainly not include the variety that is in regular grocery stores. i.e. "junk food" and pricey cuts of meat. If you're "on the dole", be grateful to your fellow citizens for what you get.
Because during Clintons tenure, the export for Ag market was good enough to balance the budget, we still gear our subsidies to export & only 4% to domestic needs...if Ross Perot had been elected, perhaps we could have delayed the invasion of Robots...& the extinction protocols of the WEF, & return of the stone dark ages.

Is everyone forgetting that there are food banks? There are also "free meal nights" at local places of worship. There are resources out there if people are afraid of starving.
The welfare state has induced a learned helplessness, not without intention from the top, now the next iteration, I would venture, will be a UBI, universal basic income, programmable, the object of the game is to harvest humans from their energetic fields to their activity with full control. Thus, for our garndchildrens sake, not to mention the rest of everyone, it’s high time we reinvent the hamster wheel, and instead create a debt-free economy.
UBI is a bad idea.
Work-- including women at home raising children-- is valuable for people. It gives them another type of meaning. Eliminating work and just putting everyone on the dole will simply create a bunch of fat sick depressed people. Which is perhaps what those in charge want.
