He's well within his rights to do so. And with our nation's resume (Dresden, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, etc) the US would have no moral standing to complain about it or be outraged. Not to say it wouldn't.
Just like the whole complaining about foreign election interference in the US...after that's all the US has done around the world for the past century+. Other nation's laugh at us over the outrage at it being done to us. Deservedly.

Trump apparently traded the Gaetz nomination for the Democrats backing down on some radical judicial confirmations....But it's still disgusting, and replacing him with a lobbyist is appalling...
