Very timely. I was at the grocery this morning, counting the masks, and there is an uptick in mask wearers, which means an uptick in boosters, and thus shedding.

I also am receiving direct reports from good friends who are getting their pre-Thanksgiving boosters right about now, for their imagined full protection (kicks in IMMEDIATELY along with the "feeling like crap cause I just had my booster" side effects).

We are in Ohio, in a semi-rural area. The past weekend, we worked a craft show in a upper middle class/lower upper class area. Lots of big houses, a high income area.

Saw... quite a few masks. It was weird.

Strangely enough, there are pretty much masks in our little slice of redneck Ohio.

the ebb and flow of masks is something I definitely notice here (blue DC suburb). I am always a bit curious about how the information/hypnotic brainwashing flows, because I do not have a TV. So I go by the mask "index" -- % of masks I see in a given day. I figure they are pumping some kind of fear into the population.

Thank God I live in a small city where we’re not experiencing this. In the crowded grocery store this afternoon, I saw ONE mask, just one!

I've observed the mask wearers at the grocery store to be of two primary types:

1. people with gray and thinning hair (late 60s and up), often couples

2. couples in their 30s and 40s (man and woman shopping together)

From this small sample, I'm suggesting that couples are a self-reinforcing, deluded entity -- or one of the two is domineering, forcing the other to mask up against his/her will, but goes along anyway because it's easier.

Even the store clerks have finally removed their masks (yes, it has taken this long).

Surprisingly, in my area it’s the 30-somethings that are masking. I think it’s because in our area, most of the 60’s and up, retirees, etc, are conservatives and we live away from the nearest large city, which is a sanctuary city. People moved out here to get away from all that nonsense, to raise their children away from all the wokeness etc. and to retire around like minded folk. I think a lot this behavior is driven by what is acceptable in your own area. My California friends see masks everywhere, even now, because it’s considered what you do. Virtue signalers gonna virtue signal!

Your substack articles always arrive in my Junk folder. Each time I move it to Inbox, put you on the whitelist, and Like. Yet the next one goes into Junk again. Persecution I'd say.
