As a Floridian I appreciate the way DeSantis has handled this. He did impose a lockdown very early but lifted in soon after. It really was 2 weeks to flatten the curve.

At the time of the FL lockdown there was a lot we did not know. I had and have no issue with how it was handled. He has also said that it was a mistake, so rather than double down on stupid he owned it.

DeSantis also made a decree that outlawed mask mandates, this was eventually struck down by the FL courts. I’m not sure if that decision was overturned or not, I don’t pay that much attention because I’m not wearing a mask no matter what the “law” is.

DeSantis probably issues as many decrees and shitty blue state governors, it’s just his are more to my liking. I’ve been harassing my local legislator to sponsor a bill to revise and limit emergency powers. She’s mostly worthless so that’s not happened yet.

He's another authoritarian that tried to pass an anti protest law years ago which was later deemed UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

He also recently signed a law to extend immunity from lawsuits to hospitals.

The right wing is just another corporate party.
