I hate to say it because I hate to even mention it but this could not have happened before Brexit.
Whilst the UK was still in the EU we had FoM and Icke as a British citizen could not be banned from the EU.
Now the UK is a third country the EU can do this in the same way that UK citizens have no right to enter the USA.
(Obviously, in practice many UK citizens travel to both the EU and the USA but we have no RIGHT to enter those countries)
